What is Domestic Violence?

Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain power and control over another person. It can happen to people of any race, age, sexual orientation, religion, gender, socioeconomic class, and education level.

What is Abuse?

Abuse is physical, sexual, emotional, economic, or psychological actions and/or threats that frighten, intimidate, manipulate, humiliate or injure someone. Abuse includes name-calling, pushing, shoving, pulling hair, and hitting with objects or cruelty to animals.
