South Valley Services is a survivor-centered organization where individuals impacted by domestic abuse and sexual violence can realize their strength, courage, and resilience while on their path to an empowered future. Our commitment involves providing survivors with confidential and free services, including emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, and educational initiatives, with the overarching goal of disrupting the cycle of generational violence.

A Survivor's Story

A survivor came to the shelter determined to better her situation. She received case management and therapy services. With this help, she located housing so her children could come from out of state to stay with her. She has obtained a better job with benefits that will help pay for school and is planning to study for her degree in social work. Through our clinical department, she has been able to start to heal and start EMDR therapy. She stated, “If it wasn’t for SVS and being here. I would be in survival mode. I wouldn’t have been able to do any of these things.”
